PORCELAIN VENEERS

Dr. Pam & Dr. Burke specialize in advanced aesthetic dentistry.

Placing beautiful and natural custom veneers requires a high degree of technical skill as well as attention to cosmetic detail.  Dr. Burke and Dr. Porteous-Burke attend the highest caliber of continuing dental education, specializing in the study of advanced dental aesthetics.  Our doctors routinely place veneers and design each case individually to match and enhance the characteristics of each patients smile.

What are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic that bond directly to the front surfaces of the teeth.  If your teeth are discolored, chipped, mis-shaped, or rotated, one or more veneers can be fabricated to give you a natural looking beautiful smile.  Veneers can be an ideal choice for improving your smile and have become increasingly popular due to their simplicity, versatility and ability to appear beautifully flawless.

Will veneers look like normal teeth?

When bonded to the teeth, the ultra-thin porcelain veneers are virtually undetectable and highly resistant to coffee, tea, or even cigarette stains. For strength and appearance, their resemblance to healthy, white tooth enamel is unsurpassed by other restorative options.

If you and our doctors at Porteous and Burke Family Dentistry decide that veneers are the optimal treatment, study models and study photos will be taken.  A computer generated custom smile design will be fabricated and reviewed by you and our doctors.  These detailed and specific steps are done by Dr. Burke and Dr. Porteous-Burke to assure a beautiful and natural smile as the end result.

With each cosmetic case our doctors take specific steps time and again to ensure the optimal design is achieved.  Our doctors hold themselves to the highest standard in the industry.

CASE STUDY

PORCELAIN VENEERS

An esthetically difficult case is restoring a single front tooth.  This patient was unhappy with the appearance of this gold crown.  The crown had a poor fit causing decay around the tooth.  To be as conservative to the tooth as possible, we restored the single tooth with a high translucency porcelain veneer.
